About Danielle - Amrit Nam
Life Coach, Educator, Mentor, Movement Specialist, Teacher
The core of my personal journey and career has been dedicated to exploring the world and Self through the lens of the body. With over 30-years of experience as a mentor, educator, studio owner, teacher-trainer and professional dance artist, I have helped countless people navigate challenges and goals so they can live into their lives with passion and purpose.
My work is both trauma- and body-informed. I offer a client-centered approach to self-awareness, healing and personal growth. I believe in the vast and creative potential of each of you that walks through my door, recognizing your innate truth, wisdom and capacity for intentional change. Walking side-by-side in a safe, exploratory space, we inquire into your process of thinking and feeling in order to connect to what is truly meaningful for you with new perspectives and possibility.
As you evolve clarity, understanding and resilience, you naturally tap into your incredible capacity for conscious choice and intentional action. Aligned with your values, goals and purpose, you can do none other than succeed in being you. None other than achieving what you set out to do and be.
I look forward to helping you trust the truth you know to be true.
You can find me on zoom and in beautiful downtown Collingwood, by the majestic Georgian Bay, north of Toronto, Ontario/Canada. We have many ways of working together. The choice is yours. So, welcome!
What is Motion?
The body is always in motion. Blood, breath, heart, assimilation, elimination. The body-mind is constantly thinking, responding, reacting, getting things done ... often relentless.
Yet, no matter how insistent, it is really not about getting things done.
What would it feel like to linger as you get things done?
To be present to yourself and what is around you as you get things done?
When we slow down to linger and pause, we create space for life, rather than constriction. Being and doing get to co-exist, inviting more creativity, enjoyment, ease and curiosity. There is a quality of being with oneself, which opens us up to something that just might contain a little magic...
How are you relating? To whom? To what? What is around you?
What is inside? What matters to you?
How do you access wisdom and strength?
Are your thoughts in the past or in the future of what might happen?
Is your body constricted or at ease? What do you feel?
What does it feel like to be pre-occupied? To be present?
What does presence mean to you?
What do you believe about yourself? The world?
What do you need?
What do you know to be true?
Then what is possible?
What is Stillness?
When you lean into stillness, you are leaning into your Self
When you are still and aware, new possibilities emerge. It is a simple truth.
You connect with the deep trust within yourself. It is familiar. A deep knowing.
In this place, be open to what comes.
Here in lies your curiosity, clarity, certainty, courage and creativity. The liberation you seek.
Follow your goodness and the goodness of all. In seriousness and in play.
What is happening right now?
How can you slow it all down to notice? Come home to be yourself? To be with others?
What is possible when you choose to be curious and thoughtful?
How do you open the door to unconditional positive regard towards your self and others, in action?
How can you care about every second of your relationship to your self? To others? To the earth?
How do you put the glass down on the table, or look at another person to see and be with them, open and clear?
How do you show up? How do you self care? How do you serve?
The answers for all your questions come from within
